Wives, girlfriends and mothers boarded a Ryanair flight from Stansted to Karlsruhe Baden Baden ready for England's opening game against Paraguay.
Cheryl Tweedy, fiancee of left back Ashley Cole and a member of the pop group Girls Aloud, said: "I didn't realise we were flying with Ryanair. I think it's quite funny."
Miss Tweedy, of Newcastle upon Tyne, said she was travelling to Germany to continue with her attempts to persuade the Arsenal left back to join Newcastle United, provide him with a mobile phone charger - and watch England "win the World Cup".
"I've got to pop back for a few gigs and things but I'll be there for all the games," she said. "I think they'll win it. I'm very confident."
Miss Tweedy added: "He's forgotten the charger for his mobile. I've got it in my bag."
She went on: "I've been trying to persuade him to sign for Newcastle for ages but he won't have any of it.
"He's very confident. He had a massage last night after straining his thigh but he's fine," she said.
"I'm looking forward to giving him a celebratory hug after the game. I just hope he's booked us into a nice hotel."
Miss Tweedy was joined on the Ryanair flight by Joe Cole's girlfriend Carly Zucker, Paul Robinson's wife Rebecca and daughter Lucy-May, Jermaine Jenas's mother Lynnette, Wayne Bridge's French girlfriend Vanessa Perronce, Michael Carrick's girlfriend Lisa Roughhead, and David Beckham's mother Sandra.
Miss Perroncel said the flight had been organised by the FA.
"I am so excited. I am feeling very excited and can't wait to see the match," she said.
"I have spoken to Wayne this morning and he seems to be very relaxed and said everybody wants to get started.
"I think we get to see them after the game and I can't wait.
"I hope England play France in the final - then I can't lose."
Miss Roughhead added: "I spoke to Michael about an hour ago when he arrived in Frankfurt.
"He said everybody was relaxed and having massages and things like that. I can't wait for the tournament to begin.
"I have taken a month off work and think I will be there for the duration because England are going to get through to the finals."
